Sub-fascial Breast Implant Placement

The sub-fascial placement technique has not been used very often and has not had as much research as some of the other placement techniques. However, some plastic surgeons use it and have become adept at this technique. There is a layer of tissue that covers your muscle. This tissue is called fascia. Some surgeons will separate the fascia from the muscle and place the implant below the fascia, but above the muscle.
